Polyverse Poetry Festival came about by accident, since as a published writer myself, I was bored of nothing big happening for East Midlands writers. So I started a Facebook group and cheekily asked for published writers to volunteer to perform for free… and they did! After emailing the Head of the English and Drama department at Loughborough University to ask if they would host the event for free – and she said yes! So now you can't afford to miss the biggest poetry event the East Midlands has ever seen.
